Today's weekly tip is about sun gazing. I gaze at the sun for different reasons. One of them is the health of my eyes. Yet I altered this technique slightly, because I started seeing the benefits of sun gazing. The common way to sun gaze is immediately when the sun comes up because you have to look into the sun for the benefits to have full effect. The different reds you see, help your eyes by producing more blood flow. However, if you look into it at its peak height of the day, it can actually hurt you, so don't do this throughout the day. If you're going to sun gaze, you want to think about doing it when the sun comes up in the morning and exactly before it sets. What I will talk about is sun gazing done throughout the day. We will use this information to become more mindful and peaceful.
As soon as you feel the sun when coming in from outside, I want you to stop, take a deep breath, and feel the heat of the sun hit you. You want to feel the warmth of the sun on you and then acknowledge it. Regardless of the weather, you can turn around, look into the sun with your eyes closed, and see all the reds that you would see in a sunrise or sunset. Acknowledge the sun for everything you see then take a deep breath and move on throughout your day. I try to make a conscious effort to do it every time I transition from shade to sun, where I can actually feel the difference in temperature. Now it's going to make me more mindful and make me pay attention to the details of life. This will get you to start being present all the time.
I want you guys to focus on feeling the sun and not just doing it because I think it is good for you. The sun has so many great benefits for you, yet you shouldn't go out there and spend hours focusing on the sun either. As you're going throughout your day, you're going to then come inside and get into focus by feeling the sun. What I want you guys to concentrate on is the ability to pinpoint what needs to happen for yourself. That's going to bring you into this present moment. Once you become present, that will flip that switch from 'fight or flight' to healing. The easiest way to become present is to use your senses by feeling and acknowledging the sun.If you want to learn more about how to live pain free please download my free e book on secrets to living a pain free life and heal anything at http://www.livepainfreeprocess.com
